Who we are

Sarah_Hardcastle.jpg

After 13 years working with UK and international business schools, Sarah founded Hardcastle & Associates in 2018 drawing together expertise from her extensive network. She has a focus on account and project management and specialises particularly in marketing and corporate outreach. She regularly conducts in depth interviews with employer and business school thought leaders and has presented in many business schools and at industry events including Chartered Association of Business Schools, Women in Business Education and EFMD Global.

Sarah has recently published a report: Business School Advisory Boards - Maximising the Opportunity, that has been extremely well received across the industry and by organisations such as the Chartered Association of Business Schools and by AACSB and EFMD, generating newsletter and conference content globally.

Whilst not an academic, Sarah was invited to present her research on Social Enterprise alongside Babson College and Plymouth Business School in Florida at the Academy of Management. This research was commissioned by Dr David Wheeler who is on the Environmental and Social Advisory Council of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Sarah’s research is referenced in An Overview of Systemic Entrepreneurship by Professor Gideon Maas (International Centre for Transformational Entrepreneurship, Coventry University) and Professor Paul Jones (Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation and Head of the Business Department at Swansea University School of Management).

Previously Head of Marketing Services at a City of London institution, Sarah also set up an organisation-wide Project Office and carried out a troubleshooting role. She holds a postgraduate qualification in Project Management and survived many years of law and accountancy to become a Chartered Secretary.

Sarah is all about the stories, coffee also helps. Her dream is to encourage more teaching through Legoplay and add ‘The Hogwarts School of Business’ to our client list…
