Who we are

Gareth Howells has worked in the higher education sector for over 25 years with extensive experience working in and with global business schools. His areas of specialism include degree portfolio strategy, programme leadership and delivery, online learning, rankings, recruitment & admissions and organisational realignment.

Gareth spent over 20 years at London Business School (LBS) in a variety of roles including Programme Director and Deputy Associate Dean, culminating in his role as Executive Director for Degree Programmes with strategic responsibility for a portfolio of degrees including the flagship MBA and suite of general and specialist masters programmes.  Whilst at LBS, Gareth led on a wide range of initiatives and collaborations linked to the creative industries in response to the growing interest of his students wanting to work in the creative industries along with a growing demand creative industry employers who wanted to recruit business school students into their organisations.

More recently, Gareth was based in Rwanda as Executive Director for Academic Programmes at the African Leadership University School of Business (ALUSB). He has also served on advisory groups for both GMAC and EFMD.

Gareth now works as a consultant to provide services to a wide range of higher education institutions both in the UK and globally. Recent clients have included King’s College London (KCL), Imperial College Business School (ICBS), London School of Economics and New York University: Stern School of Business (NYU Stern) along with additional institutions both in Europe and the United States.
