Who we are

Joe Pearce has over 20 years’ experience working at the interface between academia and business.
He has held a number of senior roles at the University of Exeter, including leading the development of the Centre for Entrepreneurship within the Business School, serving as Deputy Director, and as Head of Business Support within Exeter Innovation. Through these roles he worked extensively with academic leaders, investors, founders and public sector partners, shaping and delivering initiatives that support innovation, enterprise and growth.
Joe has led a wide range of programmes focused on venture creation, scale-up and research commercialisation, including as Head of the Exeter SETsquared Accelerator (part of the SETsquared Partnership, regularly cited as the leading university business incubator by UBI Global). He brings a strong track record in building effective partnerships and delivering activity that connects universities with business and investment communities.
Alongside his work with H&A, Joe continues to mentor and advise on innovation and commercialisation activity.
